What We Do

    Community Groups

    Community Groups (CG's) are Impact NOW's approach to small groups initiative, comprised of a leader and three single individuals (or three couples).

     

    CG's aim is to create a tight-knit community where individuals can commune and learn about God's working presence in their lives.

     

    Typically taking place once every fortnight, Community Group's are structured to ensure that each individual's needs are catered to in a community of believers that can help encourage them in their walk with God.

    Seniors Ministry

    Developed to reintegrate the more senior aged attendees within the church, the Seniors Ministry aims to create a space where the elderly can be actively involved in the flow and life of the church .

     

    The current Seniors meetings consist of  Bible studies, worship as well as workshops about health, fitness and self-development . The seniors have also collaborated with the Youth as a part of a technology learning workshop.

     

    The seniors have also banded together with the H2H initiative as a part of their evangelism outreach, and have also participated in activities such as feeding the poor and visiting nursing homes during the Christmas period to perform carols.

Youth

Catering to young teens between the ages of 13-17, Impact NOW Youth ministry aims to offer a welcoming learning environment that fosters and helps guide youths as they continue to grow and experience life to the fullest in their journey with God.

 

Meeting every fortnight, gatherings consist of worship, prayer and sharing of the Word. We put a strong focus on growing their biblical knowledge and spiritual growth, as well as developing their skills and talents.

 

During alternate weeks, the Youth join and work together with the Young Adults to hold "Open Nights" as outreach evenings to gather and encourage growing friendships with each other and other invitees.

 

Youth Ministry also takes part in other church activities such as Clean Up Australia Day, we as well as taking part in other ministries such as the Impact NOW Church Cafe and the Reserve Team Music Team.

Young Adults

Working with individuals between the ages 18-30 plus (pre-marriage), the Young Adults Ministry provides a supportive community as they make marked changes into adulthood , relationships , developing their integration into the life , mission and work of the church.

 

Following a transition from Youth, the Young Adults Ministry aims to assist and guide individuals in settling and flourishing in their everyday life,  careers and relationships.

 

The Young Adults meet on a fortnightly basis , where gatherings consist of worship, prayer and sharing of the Word. During alternative weeks, the Young Adults join and working together with the Youth to hold "Open Nights" as outreach evenings to gather and encourage growing friendships with each other and other invitees.

    Sunday School

    Focusing on children from infants and to children up to age 12, the Sunday School ministry endeavours to establish a system of spiritual growth within children, while enhancing their God-given skills and talents.


    We aim to support families in establishing a strong spiritual foundation that will lead children into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

     

    The Sunday School puts a strong focus on curriculum in a child-centred environment, with creative methods of communication allowing the child to express themselves through avenues such as  music, drama and art.

     

    Sessions are held simultaneously with LES Services every Sunday from 10:30am to 12:00pm.

    House to House (H2H)

    As part of Impact NOW's community outreach initiative and evangelism movement, the H2H program occurs monthly on every first Saturday of the month.


    While initially focusing on the aspect of relationship-building with the local community, the H2H has also provided an opportunity to act as a bridge of communication to the local council (Canterbury-Bankstown) to make improvements in the local community. This is achieved through activities of door-knocking and getting to know the concerns and complaints of the residents in the Bankstown community.

     

    Such successes from these include the installation of safety humps and islands and street lights in the Yagoona suburb.

Breakthrough Believers Service

Created with a focus in training and equipping members of Impact NOW who have completed the "Breakthrough Believer's Bootcamp" training.

 

The BB Service aims to maintain an environment conducive to producing a Christ-like Kingdom mindset. Comprised of Breakthrough Worship and preaching of the Word, the BB Service moves with a focus on "setting the house in order".

 

Service begins from 8:00am to 9:15am proceeding into prayer and LES Service.

Life Encounter Service (LES)

Targeting newer believers and long-term believers alike, the Life Encounter Service (LES) provides an inviting and relaxing learning experience with an opportunity to learn about God.

 

Starting with worship, followed by a motivational message, we invite individuals of all backgrounds to come and experience a God encounter.

 

Service begins every Sunday at 10:30am but we invite you for breakfast and coffee at our Impact NOW Cafe from 10:00am.

    Impact NOW Cafe

    Set up every Sunday from 10:00am to 10:30am.

     

    The Impact NOW Cafe caters to members and guests alike, providing freshly made coffee and breakfast food before the LES Service.

     

    The Impact NOW Cafe is run and supported by the Youth and Young Adults ministry, giving them an opportunity to serve within the church.

  •  

    Local Church College (LCC)

    The Impact NOW Local Church College functions as part of our Christian education initiative through the collaborative partnership with Alphacrucis College, helping lead Impact NOW members in the studies towards a Certificate IV in Ministry (Leadership).

     

    Through LCC, Impact NOW aims to enrich the learning experience of our members, furthering their theological knowledge that will, in turn, improve and enhance their ministry skills as they serve within the church.

     

    Since its commencement in 2015, we have had five successful graduates in the program and four in process.

Reserve Team

Join us for an opportunity to play music together as a team!

 

Established to give music support to the Impact NOW Creative Ministry within the church, the Reserve Team provides opportunities for those who want to express and utilize their musical talents and skills.

 

The Reserve Team also functions as a pathway for those who are looking to join the Impact NOW Worship Team.
